Does My Soulmate Exist?
This week's question comes from Melissa:
"Dear Orna and Matthew,
I’ve been reading your newsletter for years now and I really think that of all the relationship experts out there you two really tell it like it is, without all the hype and B.S.
I’ve been overcome with sadness recently thinking that perhaps my soulmate doesn’t exist and that I’m being too picky… which is something my friends and family have been telling me for years.
How do I know if I’m being too picky? That my soulmate is out there? What can I do to connect with my Beloved sooner rather than later (if he really exists).
I thank you for your honest response and I really hope you choose my

Just Friends?
This week's question comes from Perplexed:
Hello Orna and Matthew,
Love the insightful advice you give so I thought I'd ask for your insight on my situation. I have been out of the dating scene for 7 years due to health challenges. Recently, I've met someone who is helping me overcome these challenges and helping me get my life back. As I've gotten to know this man, I've discovered he has many of the personal qualities I wrote down six months ago when I meditated on finding a soulmate.
In fact, it's a little unsettling to see this manifest right down to him being a great cook and loving a "green lifestyle." Although he's told me he sees me as a good friend, he also

Losing Your Enthusiasm for Dating?
This week's question comes from Therese:
Hello Orna and Matthew,
My enthusiasm is waning. Being a 58 year-old gal that sees the positive aspects of online dating is the sole thing that allows me to not give up hope. I have yet to meet or find any man that has any prospect of a solid relationship in my time that I have participated in online dating. This would be more than 5 years. The dating "gurus" continue to extoll that finding an eligible man is still possible. I yearn for a man that is decent, honest and interested in dating that would lead to a partnership in life.
Perhaps you can offer some guidance or words of encouragement?
Gratefully

Online Dating Troubles?
This week's question comes from Angela:
Hi Orna Matthew,
I love the Love Note each week. They are beautiful notes which teach us how to live in everyday life. I appreciate it.
I like the concept of feminine and masculine energy. Society has mixed these up. I can feel that some men have the initiative energy and some men are weak in having the driving force.
I have some met some men on the internet recently. I wonder how I can balance this feminine energy and welcoming energy in terms of how soon and long I reply to them. I am a passive person. Also, I understand that email contact is not a relationship.
How can I reflect that feminine energy is a receptive

Is This a Dealbreaker?
This week's question comes from Tamlyn
"Hello Orna and Matthew,
I never would have thought I would be writing for advice on this issue because I've always perceived complaints about a lover with poor personal hygiene to be easily resolvable.
I recently met a man whose heart and worldview match my own. I care about him and see him as someone I could build a future with. The problem is that his teeth are in a really bad condition and he often looks greasy and uncared for. I find this totally off-putting, not just for aesthetic reasons but because to me its a sign of somebody who doesn't care for himself. If he doesn't take care of himself how can I trust and respect
